Tools and materials:

* Wrench set
* Bearing puller
* New differential bearing
* New automatic transmission oil
* Automatic transmission pan gasket

Instructions:

1. Place the vehicle on a lift.
2. Remove the automatic transmission pan.
– Unscrew the pan bolts with a wrench.
– Remove the tray by carefully prying it off with a flat-head screwdriver.
3. Remove the differential.
– Unscrew the bolts securing the differential to the automatic transmission housing.
– Gently pull the differential towards you to remove it.
4. Remove the old differential bearing.
– Use a bearing puller to remove the old bearing from the differential.
5. Install a new differential bearing.
– Lubricate the new bearing with clean automatic transmission oil.
– Install the new bearing onto the differential by hand or using a suitable tool.
6. Reinstall the differential.
– Insert the differential into the automatic transmission housing.
– Tighten the differential mounting bolts to the torque specified by the manufacturer.
7. Reinstall the automatic transmission pan.
– Apply sealant or a new gasket to the surface of the pan.
– Reinstall the pan and tighten the bolts to the manufacturer’s specified torque.
8. Fill with new automatic transmission fluid.
– Remove the drain plug and drain the old automatic transmission fluid.
– Fill in new automatic transmission fluid through the oil dipstick.
9. Check the fluid level.
– Start the engine and allow it to warm up to operating temperature.
– Place the gear selector in the “Parking” position and check the fluid level on the dipstick.
– Add fluid as necessary to achieve the correct level.

Adviсe:

* Use only original spare parts or parts recommended by the manufacturer.
* Observe the correct tightening torque when installing bolts and nuts.
* Make sure the new bearing is clean and lubricated before installation.
* Check the automatic transmission fluid level regularly after replacing the bearing.
