Replacing the automatic transmission selector light bulb in a Nissan Note car

Required tools and materials:

* Phillips screwdriver (phillips)
*New T5 bulb (12V, 1.2W)

Steps:

1. Remove the decorative panel of the automatic transmission selector:
– Insert a flathead screwdriver or plastic trim tool into the slots next to the selector frame.
– Push the panel up and detach it.

2. Remove the automatic transmission selector frame:
– Remove the two Phillips screws that hold the frame in place.
– Push the frame up and detach it.

3. Disconnect the electrical connector:
– Locate the electrical connector connected to the automatic transmission selector control module.
– Press the connector lock and disconnect it.

4. Disconnect the automatic transmission selector control module:
– Locate the two Phillips screws on the rear of the transmission selector control module.
– Unscrew these two screws and disconnect the module.

5. Remove the light bulb holder:
– Locate the blue ring light holder on the underside of the transmission selector control module.
– Turn the bulb holder counterclockwise and remove it.

6. Remove the burnt out light bulb:
– Remove the burnt out bulb from the holder.

7. Install a new light bulb:
– Take a new light bulb and insert it into the holder.
– Turn the bulb holder clockwise to secure it.

8. Install the automatic transmission selector control module:
– Align the control module with the guides and push it into place.
– Tighten the two Phillips screws.

9. Connect the electrical connector:
– Insert the electrical connector into the automatic transmission selector control module.
– Make sure it is securely connected.

10. Install the automatic transmission selector frame:
– Align the frame with the control module and push it into place.
– Tighten the two Phillips screws.

11. Install the decorative panel of the automatic transmission selector:
– Press down on the decorative panel to lock it in place.

Examination:

Start the car and switch the automatic transmission selector to different positions. Check that the selector illumination is working correctly.
