Tools and materials:

* New automatic transmission oil (about 8 l for models 1999-2006, 5 l for models 2007-2021)
* New pan gasket (if required)
* New drain plug washer
* 17mm wrench
* 12mm wrench
* Flat head screwdriver
* Funnel
* Container for draining old oil

Instructions:

1. Preparing the car

* Place the car on a flat surface.
* Open the hood and find the automatic transmission dipstick.
* Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes until the oil temperature reaches operating temperature (about 40-50°C).

2. Drain old oil

* Place a container under the automatic transmission pan.
*Locate the drain plug (usually with a 17mm bolt) at the bottom of the pan and unscrew it by hand or with a wrench.
* Allow the old oil to drain into a container.

3. Removing the pallet

* If your car has a pan with a gasket, unscrew the bolts (usually 12 mm) securing the pan to the automatic transmission housing.
* Using a flathead screwdriver, carefully pry up one corner of the pan and begin to remove it.
* Pay attention to the gasket and replace it with a new one if necessary.

4. Cleaning the tray

* Clean the pan of old oil and dirt.
* Check the magnets on the tray for metal shavings or other contamination. Clean them if necessary.

5. Installation of the pallet

* If necessary, install a new gasket on the pan.
* Lift the pan into place and tighten the mounting bolts.
* Screw on the drain plug with a new washer.

6. Filling with new oil

* Using a funnel, pour new oil through the dipstick hole.
*For models 1999-2006. about 8 liters of oil are required, and for models 2007-2021. – 5 l.
* Check the oil level using the dipstick. The oil level should be between the “HOT” and “COLD” marks on the dipstick.

7. Reset maintenance counter

*Refer to your vehicle’s owner’s manual for instructions on how to reset the automatic transmission service counter.

8. Test ride

* Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
* Move the gear shift lever to different positions to circulate oil throughout the system.
* Drive the car for about 10 km and check the oil level again. Add oil if necessary.

Note:

*Be careful with hot oil.
* Dispose of old oil properly.
* The frequency of automatic transmission oil changes may vary depending on the operating conditions of the vehicle and the type of oil. Consult your vehicle’s owner’s manual for details.
