Possible reasons for oil leaking from the automatic transmission:

1. Seal leakage:
* Worn or damaged shaft, pump or torque converter seals.

2. Gasket leakage:
* Worn or damaged oil pan, valve body or oil filter gaskets.

3. Damage to the housing:
* Cracks or damage on the gearbox housing due to accident or wear.

4. Excessive oil level:
*Overfilling the box with oil may cause leaks through the vent or breather.

5. Pressure relief valve malfunctions:
*A stuck or faulty pressure relief valve can cause excessive transmission pressure and leaks.

6. Worn or damaged oil pump:
* A worn or damaged oil pump may not produce enough pressure to supply oil to all transmission components, causing seal leaks.

7. Wear of friction discs:
* Worn or damaged friction discs can create additional friction and heat, causing oil seals to leak.

8. Cooling line leak:
* A leak in the coolant line that runs through the radiator can cause transmission fluid to leak.

9. Incorrect installation:
* Improper installation of the transmission or transmission components may result in oil leaks from loose bolts or loose connections.

10. Poor fluid quality or degradation:
*Using poor quality or unsuitable transmission fluid may result in leaks due to damaged components or seals.
