The automatic transmission temperature sensor is usually installed:
* In the automatic transmission pan: The sensor is screwed into the lower part of the automatic transmission pan, where the oil is located.
* In the automatic transmission housing: The sensor is screwed into the automatic transmission housing next to the cooling line or heat exchanger.
* In the coolant pipe: The sensor can be built into the coolant pipe that connects the automatic transmission to the radiator.
