Actions to take when the automatic transmission gets stuck:

1. Security:

* Stop the car in a safe place.
* Turn on your hazard lights.
* Set the car to the parking brake.

2. Unlock attempt:

* Try moving the gear shift lever to neutral.
* Move the lever several times between the Park (P), Neutral (N) and Drive (D) positions.
