The optimal operating temperature of an automatic transmission (AT) ranges from 80 to 90 degrees Celsius (176 to 194 degrees Fahrenheit).

Within this temperature range, the automatic transmission operates most efficiently, providing smooth gear changes and maximum fuel efficiency.

However, a slight deviation from this range is allowed:

* During a cold start, the automatic transmission temperature may drop below 80 degrees Celsius.
* Under heavy load (for example, when towing a heavy load or driving off-road), the temperature of the automatic transmission may temporarily rise above 90 degrees Celsius.
