Optimal driving with automatic transmission

Before you start driving:

* Make sure the gear shift lever is in the “P” (Park) position.
*Press the brake pedal and turn on the engine.
* Move the lever to the “D” (drive) position.

While driving:

* Lightly press the accelerator pedal to speed up the car.
* Release the accelerator pedal to slow down.
* Do not use the brake pedal to slow down at low speeds. Allow the vehicle to slow down by releasing the accelerator pedal and using the engine braking.
* To manually change gears, use the +/- gear selector on the steering wheel or center console.

Stop:

*Press the brake pedal to slow down the car.
* When the vehicle has come to a complete stop, move the lever to the “P” position.
* Turn off the engine.

Adviсe:

* Avoid sudden acceleration and braking.
* Do not put the vehicle in “N” (neutral) mode while driving.
* Perform regular transmission maintenance, including oil and filter changes.
* Use Sport mode only when necessary to improve vehicle dynamics.
*Do not pull heavy trailers without proper equipment and qualifications.
* If you have any problems with the automatic transmission, contact your mechanic immediately.

Mode “L” (low gear):

* Use L mode when additional engine braking is required or when driving on steep grades.
* Do not shift into L mode at high speeds as this may damage the transmission.

Winter mode:

*Some automatic transmission vehicles have a winter mode that helps improve traction on slippery surfaces.
* Activate winter mode when extra traction is needed, such as on snow or ice.
