* Checking the torque converter clutch for slippage
* Assessing the condition of friction discs and steel plates in clutch packs
* Checking the operation of solenoids and hydraulic control valves
*Estimation of transmission fluid pressure in various operating modes
Road tests:
*Check gear shifting under different driving conditions
* Assessing smoothness of switching, presence of noise or vibration
* Diagnose problems with acceleration, shift delays or jerking
Additional checks:
*Analysis of a transmission fluid sample to identify contamination or signs of wear
* Checking the condition of electrical connectors and wiring harnesses associated with the automatic transmission
* Assessing the performance of the shank shaft and driveshaft (if applicable)
