When overhauling an automatic transmission (automatic transmission), the following components are usually changed:

* Friction Discs and Bands: Worn or damaged clutches and bands cause the transmission to slip and reduce power delivery.
* Steel Wheels: These wheels can warp or wear over time, causing slipping and vibration.
*Plungers and Valve Body: Damage or contamination of the valves and valve body can cause the automatic transmission and gear shifting to malfunction.
* Oil pump: The oil pump provides lubrication and cooling of the automatic transmission. A damaged or worn pump can lead to insufficient oil pressure and transmission failure.
* Planetary gear: The planetary gear is responsible for transmitting power to the wheels. Worn or damaged gears, couplings and shafts can cause noise, vibration and slippage.
* Bearings and seals: Worn bearings cause noise and vibration, and leaking seals can cause oil leaks and damage to the transmission.
* Transmission Oil and Filter: Old or contaminated oil can cause wear and poor transmission performance. The filter should be replaced to filter out contaminants from the oil.
* Torque converter: The torque converter transfers power from the engine to the automatic transmission. A worn or damaged torque converter can cause slippage, vibration and noise.
* Electronic control unit (ECU): The ECU controls the operation of the automatic transmission. A faulty or incorrectly programmed ECU can cause incorrect operation and gear shifting.
