CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission)

* Operating principle: Uses two pulleys connected by a belt or chain. The pulleys can smoothly change their diameter, which provides a smooth change in the gear ratio.
* Features:
*Continuously variable gear shift
* Smooth acceleration without jolts
*Commonly found in compact and economical cars

Automatic (automatic transmission)

* Operating principle: Uses sets of gears connected through friction clutches. Gears change automatically depending on speed, load and other factors.
* Features:
* Stepped gear shift (usually 4-6 gears)
* More noticeable gear changes compared to a CVT
* Various shift modes (e.g. Economy, Sport)
*More common in larger, more powerful vehicles
