Connecting the washing machine to the electrics

Warning: All electrical work must be performed by a qualified electrician. Unless you are qualified, do not attempt to connect the washing machine yourself.

Requirements

* Washing machine with electrical cord and plug
*Outlet with the correct voltage and frequency for your washing machine (usually 220-240V, 50/60Hz)
* Fuse or circuit breaker of appropriate rating
* Special socket for household electrical appliances (desirable)

Instructions

1. Check voltage and frequency

Make sure that the voltage and frequency of your outlet matches the requirements of your washing machine. This information is found on the rating plate, usually located on the rear of the appliance.

2. Select an outlet

Choose an outlet that is conveniently and safely located near your washing machine. It is advisable to use a special socket for household electrical appliances, designed for heavy loads and designed for the appropriate voltage and current.

3. Install a fuse or circuit breaker

Install a fuse or circuit breaker of the appropriate rating in the electrical panel. This will protect the circuit from overloads. The rating of the fuse or circuit breaker must match the power of the washing machine.

4.Connect the washing machine to the outlet

Plug the electrical cord into an outlet. Make sure the cord is not kinked or pinched and that the plug is firmly inserted into the outlet.

5. Turn on the washing machine

Turn on the washing machine and check if it works correctly. Pay attention to any unusual noises or vibrations.

*Do not connect your washing machine to an outlet that does not comply with the specifications.
*Do not use extension cords or adapters.
* Do not operate the washing machine if it has a damaged electrical cord or plug.
