It is not recommended to warm up an engine with an automatic transmission on site in winter.

Reasons:

* Increased gearbox wear. When the engine is running without moving in place, the transmission fluid overheats. This can lead to oxidation and accelerated wear of the internal components of the gearbox.
* Fuel consumption. An engine with an automatic transmission consumes more fuel when running at a standstill.
* Environmental pollution. Exhaust gases released by the engine when warming up pollute the air.

The correct way to warm up an engine with an automatic transmission in winter:

1. Start the engine.
2. Wait 30-60 seconds for the oil to warm up.
3. Turn on driving mode «D».
4. Start driving smoothly at low engine speeds. This will allow the transmission fluid to warm up more evenly.
5. Avoid sudden acceleration or braking for the first few minutes of driving.

Continue to monitor engine and transmission temperatures while driving. Once operating temperature is reached (usually around 90°C), normal driving can be resumed.

Important Tips:

* Use synthetic gear oil recommended by the manufacturer. It provides better circulation at low temperatures.
* In severe frosts, use an engine preheater or a timer for automatic starting.
* Do not use «N» (neutral) mode to warm up the engine. This may result in insufficient lubrication of the gearbox.
