Materials:
* New automatic transmission oil (VW ATF G 055 025 A2 or equivalent)
* New oil pan plug
* New oil pan gasket
* Transmission oil filter (if required)
* Funnel
* Tool set
Procedure:
1. Preparation
* Place the car on a flat surface.
* Allow the transmission to cool for several hours until the oil becomes warm and less viscous.
2. Raising the car
* Raise the car on jacks or use a lift.
* Observe safety precautions when working under a raised vehicle.
3. Drain the old oil
* Locate the transmission pan under the vehicle.
* Unscrew the oil pan drain plug using a hex wrench.
* Place a pan under the drain hole and drain the oil into a collection container.
*Wait until the oil is completely drained.
4. Replace the filter (optional)
* If you need to replace the oil filter, unscrew the bolts holding the oil pan.
* Remove the oil pan and replace the filter with a new one.
* Install the oil pan and tighten the bolts.
5. Installing a new plug and gasket
* Clean the drain hole and surrounding surface of the oil pan.
* Install a new oil pan plug and tighten it using a hex wrench.
* Apply a new gasket to the oil pan.
6. Filling with new oil
* Find the transmission oil dipstick and remove it.
* Using a funnel, pour new oil into the dipstick hole.
* Do not overfill the gearbox with oil.
7. Lowering the car
* Lower the vehicle to the ground.
8. Checking the oil level
* Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
* Shift the gear selector to all positions and return to the Park position.
* Pull out the transmission oil dipstick and check the oil level.
*Add oil if necessary.
9. Cleaning
* Clean up spilled oil and wipe work surfaces.
Adviсe:
* Change your automatic transmission oil every 60,000-80,000 km or as recommended by the manufacturer.
* Use only oil recommended by the manufacturer.
*If the transmission is very dirty or the oil has not been changed for a long time, consider a transmission flush.
* Regular servicing of your automatic transmission will help prolong its life and ensure smooth operation.
