Procedure for changing automatic transmission oil in a Volkswagen New Beetle:
1. Preparation

7. Installation of the automatic transmission dipstick
* Insert the automatic transmission dipstick back into the filler hole.
* Remove the dipstick and check the oil level. Add oil if necessary.
8. Reset error code
* Some New Beetle models may require an error code reset after changing the automatic transmission oil.
* Consult the instruction manual for detailed instructions.
9. Completion
* Screw in the drain plug and secure the automatic transmission pan.
* Clean up any spilled oil and rags.
* Start the engine and change gears so that the oil is evenly distributed throughout the system.
*Check the oil level again after a short trip. Add oil if necessary.
