Valve block automatic transmission Mitsubishi Pajero Mini

The valve body is a key component of the Mitsubishi Pajero Mini automatic transmission. Its function is to control the flow of transmission fluid to change gears and turn on/off other automatic transmission functions.

Design

The Pajero Mini valve body consists of:

* Housing: Made of aluminum and contains passages, valves and solenoids to direct the flow of fluid.
* Valves: Control the flow of fluid by opening and closing under the influence of springs and pressure.
* Solenoids: Electromagnetic devices that are activated to control the operation of valves.
* Friction Discs: Helps smooth gear shifts by engaging or disengaging using fluid pressure.
* Pistons and Seals: Contain and direct fluid to the appropriate passages.

Functions

The hydraulic unit performs the following functions:

* Gear Shift: Controls the flow of fluid to engage and disengage gears.
* Torque Converter Lockup: Disables the torque converter for increased efficiency when driving at high speeds.
* 4WD Enable/Disable: Controls fluid flow to activate/deactivate the 4WD system.
* Fluid Pressure Adjustment: Adjusts fluid pressure based on driving conditions.
* Overheat protection: Protects the automatic transmission from overheating by relieving excess pressure.

Service

To ensure proper operation of the Pajero Mini valve body, you must:

* Change the transmission fluid and filter regularly.
* Diagnose and repair any problems with solenoids or valves.
* Clean and check passages and pistons for leaks or blockages.
* Eliminate overheating as it can damage the valve body.

A serviceable valve body is an important component to ensure long-lasting and efficient operation of the Mitsubishi Pajero Mini automatic transmission.
