Truck electrician diagnostician
Key Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and troubleshoot truck electrical systems, including wiring, sensors, actuators, and electronic modules.
*Use specialized diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and correct faults.
* Reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and maintenance manuals.
* Test and repair batteries, starters, generators, lighting and other electrical components.
* Installation and configuration of new or modified electrical systems.
* Carrying out maintenance and preventive maintenance to prevent future breakdowns.
Requirements:
*High school diploma or equivalent.
* Experience as a truck electrician diagnostician or similar position.
* Thorough understanding of truck electrical systems, including electronic and computer components.
* Knowledge of electrical safety principles and procedures.
* Ability to use diagnostic equipment and software.
*Strong schematic and instruction reading skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Physical ability to perform tasks involving lifting and moving heavy objects.
Desirable:
* Truck Electrical Diagnostician Certificate or equivalent qualification.
* Knowledge of specific makes and models of trucks.
* Experience working in a workshop or trucking company.
* Ability to use a computer and specialized diagnostic software.
