Tasks and Responsibilities
* Diagnosis and troubleshooting of electrical systems of trucks
* Maintenance and repair of electrical components such as generators, starters, wiring, lighting and electronic modules
* Installation and modification of new electrical components
* Conducting maintenance and routine inspections of electrical systems
* Collaborate with other mechanics to resolve complex problems
* Maintaining documentation of completed work
Requirements
* Associate’s Degree or Certificate in Truck Electrical Engineering
* 2+ years of experience as a commercial vehicle electrician or related field
*Excellent knowledge of truck electrical systems
* Diagnostic, troubleshooting and repair skills
* Ability to operate a variety of tools and equipment
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Class A CDL Certificate (preferred)
* Current CPR and First Aid certificate
Preferred skills and experience
* Experience with truck telematics and diagnostic systems
* Knowledge of automation and electrical design
* Experience in the heavy equipment industry
Working environment
* Car repair shop or service center
*Working with heavy equipment and hazardous materials
* Irregular working hours, including evenings and weekends
