General instructions
*Always warm up the engine and transmission before driving, especially in cold weather.
* Change the transmission fluid according to the manufacturer’s recommendations (usually every 60,000 – 100,000 kilometers).
* Check the transmission fluid level regularly and top up if necessary.
* Avoid sudden acceleration and gear changes.
* When entering or descending a steep slope, use the appropriate transmission modes (L or D-).
* When towing a trailer, observe the recommended weight and speed limits.
Mode selector
P (Park): Locks the transmission and is used for parking or long stops.
R (Reverse): Engages reverse gear.
N (Neutral): The transmission is not engaged. Used when towing or to start the engine.
D (Drive): Normal driving mode.
L (Low): Designed for low speeds such as off-road maneuvering or descending steep slopes.
D- (D with Low): Provides more engine braking on downhill grades or when towing.
Tips for use
* Switch between modes only when coming to a complete stop.
* When driving in mountainous areas, use L or D- modes for additional control over the vehicle.
* Avoid abrupt switching between driving modes (for example, from D to R).
*When towing a trailer, use the appropriate transmission mode (L or D-) and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
* Be especially careful when driving on slippery surfaces such as ice or snow.
Service
Regular Maintenance:
* Check the transmission fluid level every 30,000 kilometers.
* Change transmission fluid every 60,000 – 100,000 kilometers or as recommended by the manufacturer.
* Check the automatic transmission for leaks and other faults every 50,000 kilometers.
Major repairs:
* Serious problems with the automatic transmission may require major repairs or replacement.
*Symptoms that may indicate the need for major repairs include slipping, shifting problems, jerking or vibration.
