Service intervals
* Fluid level check: Every 30,000 miles (48,000 km) or every 2 years
* Fluid and filter replacement: Every 60,000 miles (96,000 km) or every 4 years
* System Flush: Every 120,000 miles (192,000 km) or every 8 years
Maintenance procedure
Checking the fluid level
* Warm up the engine and transmission by driving for a few minutes.
* Place the car on a level surface and turn off the engine.
* Pull the fluid level dipstick out of the transmission.
* Wipe the dipstick and reinsert it as far as it will go.
* Pull out the dipstick and check the fluid level. The fluid should be between the “COLD” and “HOT” marks on the dipstick.
*Add fluid as needed using the manufacturer’s recommended fluid type.
Replacing fluid and filter
* Raise the vehicle on a lift and remove the transmission drain plug.
* Drain the liquid into a drain container.
* Remove the transmission pan and replace the filter.
* Install a new pan with a new gasket.
* Fill the transmission with new fluid.
* Check the fluid level and add if necessary.
Flushing the system
*Follow the fluid change procedure described above.
*After removing fluid from the transmission, connect a flushing machine to the transmission cooling lines.
* Flush the system for 15-20 minutes until the flush fluid is clear.
* Drain the flushing fluid and repeat the process with fresh fluid.
* Install a new filter and pan.
* Fill the transmission with new fluid.
* Check the fluid level and add if necessary.

*Use only manufacturer recommended automatic transmission fluid.
* Check the fluid level regularly, especially before long trips.
