Description: Right-hand drive oil seal for Volkswagen Tiguan vehicles with automatic transmission.

Signs of wear:

* Transmission fluid leaking from under the oil seal
* Burnt oil smell
* Increased noise while driving
* Vibration when shifting gears

Installation location:

The seal is installed on the right end of the drive where it enters the transmission.

Required tools for replacement:

* Set of wrenches or ratchets
* Screwdriver
* Pliers
* New oil seal
* Transmission sealant (optional)

Replacement Instructions:

1. Raise the vehicle on a jack and install stands for safety.
2. Remove the wheel on the right side.
3. Disconnect the drive from the wheel hub.
4. Loosen the nut on the drive splines that holds it in the transmission.
5. Carefully remove the drive from the gearbox.
6. Remove the old seal from the drive end.
7. Apply a thin coat of transmission sealant to the new oil seal and install it to the drive.
8. Insert the drive back into the transmission and tighten the nut.
9. Connect the drive to the wheel hub.
10. Reinstall the wheel.
11. Lower the car from the jack.
12. Start the engine and check for transmission fluid leaks.

Note:

* It is recommended to replace the seals of both drives at the same time, even if only one is leaking.
* Damage to the seal during installation may result in leakage and damage to the transmission.
*If transmission sealant is not available, Vaseline can be used.
