Automatic transmission pan mounting bolts for Mazda 3
* Bolt size: M6
*Tightening torque: 9 Nm (6.6 lb-ft)
The procedure for tightening the automatic transmission pan bolts:
1. Clean the surfaces of the automatic transmission pan gasket and tighten the bolts by hand.
2. Using a torque wrench, tighten the bolts in the following order:
– Tighten the bolts at the corners crosswise.
– Continue tightening the bolts at the corners until the required torque is reached.
– Tighten the remaining bolts in a circle until the required tightening torque is reached.
Note:
*Use only the correct bolts and torque wrench to ensure correct tightening torque.
* Do not overtighten the bolts, as this may damage the transmission pan or bolts.
