Throttle valve adaptation for Nissan Almera Classic automatic transmission

Required tools:

* OBD2 scanner
* Computer with CONSULT software

Procedure:

1. Preparation

* Make sure the engine is running and at operating temperature.
* Connect the OBD2 scanner to the diagnostic port.
* Launch CONSULT software.

2. Cleaning training data

* Go to ‘ECM’ (Engine Control Module) menu.
* Select ‘Special Features’.
* Select ‘Clean training’.
*Follow the on-screen instructions to clear the throttle learning data.

3. Throttle adaptation

* Select ‘Throttle valve adaptation’.
*Follow the on-screen instructions to perform throttle adaptation.
*The onboarding process usually takes a few minutes.

4. Adaptation check

* After adaptation is completed, turn off the engine and then start it again.
* Check the engine speed at idle and how smoothly it increases when you press the accelerator pedal.
* If the engine idle speed is too high or low, or if the accelerator pedal does not respond smoothly, the adaptation may need to be repeated.

Adviсe:

* Repeat the adaptation procedure if the vehicle has been driven at high speeds or if changes have been made to the intake or exhaust system.
*If adaptation fails, there may be a problem with the throttle sensor or another engine management system component. In this case, seek assistance from a qualified mechanic.
