Physical symptoms:

*Slipping: The transmission slips, resulting in fluctuating engine speed or lack of power when accelerating.
* Vibration: Severe vibration when shifting or accelerating.
* Burning Smell: The smell of burnt oil or burnt metal coming from the transmission.
* Noise: Grinding, humming, or whining noise when shifting gears or driving.
* Leaks: Transmission fluid leaks from the torque converter housing or solenoids.

Electrical Symptoms:

* Trouble Codes (CEL): Trouble codes related to the torque converter may be stored in the on-board computer.
*Faulty solenoids: The torque converter solenoids can fail, causing the torque converter to not lock or unlock properly.
*Wiring Problems: Opens or shorts in the wiring can affect the performance of the torque converter.

Other symptoms:

* Poor Idle: The engine may stall or have a low idle speed due to a problem with the torque converter.
* Increased fuel consumption: A faulty torque converter can reduce transmission efficiency, resulting in increased fuel consumption.
*Transmission Overheating: A torque converter that is slipping or locked can cause the entire transmission to overheat.
