Removal
1. Drain the transmission fluid.
2. Disconnect the driveshaft from the automatic transmission shank flange.
3. Disconnect the vehicle speed sensor wiring.
4. Unscrew the bolts securing the automatic transmission shank flange.
5. Remove the flange and seal.
Installation
1. Clean the oil seal seat on the flange and in the automatic transmission housing.
2. Lubricate the new oil seal with transmission fluid.
3. Install the oil seal on the flange, and then install the flange on the automatic transmission.
4. Tighten the flange bolts.
5. Connect the vehicle speed sensor wiring.
6. Install the propeller shaft onto the automatic transmission shank flange.
7. Fill with transmission fluid.
Adviсe
* Use only original or recommended oil seals.
* Be careful not to damage the oil seal when installing.
* Make sure the oil seal seating surface is clean and smooth.
* Tighten the flange mounting bolts to the specified torque.
* Check the transmission fluid level after installation.
