Torque converter enhancement methods:

1. Increasing gear ratio:
* Installation of a larger pump wheel (turbine) to increase the fluid flow rate.
* Reducing the diameter of the turbine wheel (reactor) to increase the fluid pressure drop.

2. Changing the shape of the blades:
* Install blades at a more aggressive angle to increase fluid flow.
*Add extra paddles to create more surface area and better mix the liquid.

3. Increase in fluid volume:
* Increased torque converter housing volume to accommodate more fluid.
*Use a thicker fluid which provides higher pressure.

4. Improved cooling:
* Increasing the number of cooling fins on the torque converter housing.
* Installation of an external oil cooler to improve heat dissipation.

5. Installation of the locking clutch:
* Adding a lock-up clutch that locks the torque converter when a certain speed is reached for direct transmission without loss of frictional power.

6. Use of complex sets:
*Commercially available amplification kits that combine several of the above methods. They are designed for specific automatic transmission models and provide a significant improvement in torque converter performance.

* Faster acceleration and improved traction
* Reduces torque converter slip, which improves efficiency
* Reducing wear and extending the service life of automatic transmissions
* Increased trailer towing weight
*Improved shift feel

Important:

Reinforcement of the torque converter must be performed by a qualified mechanic. Incorrect installation or use of unsuitable components may result in damage to the transmission. In addition, strengthened torque converters can increase the load on other automatic transmission components, such as clutches and gears, which may require additional reinforcements.
