Required tools and materials:
* New automatic transmission radiator
* Hose clamps
* Flat head screwdriver
* Phillips screwdriver
* 10 mm wrench
* 12mm wrench
* Container for draining automatic transmission fluid
* New automatic transmission fluid
Installation procedure:
1. Draining the automatic transmission fluid:
* Place the vehicle on a level surface with the engine turned off.
* Find the drain plug on the automatic transmission pan and place a container under it.
* Loosen the drain plug using a 12mm wrench and drain the liquid into a container.
2. Removing the old automatic transmission radiator:
* Disconnect the hoses from the automatic transmission radiator using a flathead screwdriver.
* Remove the radiator mounting bolts using a 10mm wrench.
* Carefully remove the automatic transmission radiator.
3. Installation of a new automatic transmission radiator:
* Insert the new automatic transmission radiator in place of the old one.
*Tighten the mounting bolts using a 10mm wrench.
* Connect the hoses to the new automatic transmission cooler using a flat-head screwdriver.
*Tighten hose clamps to prevent leaks.
4. Refilling automatic transmission fluid:
* Fill in new automatic transmission fluid through the inspection hole.
*Use a funnel to make pouring easier.
* Fill with fluid until it begins to flow out of the inspection hole.
5. Checking the automatic transmission fluid level:
* Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
*Place the gear selector in the «Park» position.
* Pull out the dipstick to measure the automatic transmission fluid level.
* The fluid level should be between the «Min» and «Max» marks on the dipstick.
6. Resetting the automatic transmission service counter (if necessary):
* On some SsangYong Actyon models, it is necessary to reset the automatic transmission service counter after changing the fluid.
*Consult your vehicle’s owner’s manual to determine if this procedure is required.
