Location of the speedometer speed sensor on a Kia Spectra with automatic transmission:
1. Under the hood:
— Open the hood.
— The sensor is located on the transmission housing, next to the left drive shaft.
2. Sensor appearance:
— Small cylindrical sensor with electrical connector.
— It is usually black or gray in color.
Speedometer speed sensor replacement process:
1. Disconnecting the battery:
— Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to prevent short circuit.
2. Disconnecting the electrical connector:
— Gently press the connector latch and pull it to disconnect it from the sensor.
3. Unscrewing the sensor:
— Use a wrench or socket of the appropriate size to unscrew the sensor from the transmission housing.
4. Removing the old sensor:
