Speed ​​sensor replacement instructions:

1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. This is necessary to prevent short circuits when working on the electrical system.

2. Raise the front of the vehicle. To do this, use a jack and stands.

3. Find the speed sensor. It is usually located on the right side of the transmission housing, near the output shaft.

4. Disconnect the speed sensor electrical connector. Press the connector tab and pull it out.

5. Unscrew the speed sensor. Use a wrench or ratchet with the appropriate socket.

6. Clean the sensor seat on the gearbox housing. Use brake or carburetor cleaner.

7. Apply a small amount of engine oil to the O-ring of the new speed sensor.

8. Screw in the new speed sensor by hand. Tighten it with a wrench or ratchet to the specified torque (usually 18-25 Nm).

9. Connect the electrical connector to the new speed sensor. Slide it into place until you hear a click.

10. Lower the vehicle.

11. Connect the negative terminal of the battery.

12. Clear trouble codes using the diagnostic scan tool.

Speed ​​sensor tightening torque:

* 18-25 Nm

Notes:

* Let the engine cool down before starting work.
* Be careful not to damage the speed sensor electrical connector.
