Location of automatic transmission speed sensor in Nissan Sunny FB15:

1. Open the hood.
2. Find the automatic transmission under the hood.
3. The speed sensor is usually located on the left side of the automatic transmission.
4. It will be a small read disk with a wire connected to it.

Replacing the automatic transmission speed sensor:

Steps:

1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Find the automatic transmission speed sensor and disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Use a wrench to remove the sensor mounting bolt.

5. Carefully remove the sensor from the read disk.
6. Install the new sensor on the reading disk.
7. Tighten the sensor mounting bolt.
8. Connect the electrical connector to the sensor.
9. Connect the negative terminal of the battery.

After replacing the automatic transmission speed sensor, you may need to reset the automatic transmission adaptations for optimal operation. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature.
2. Stop the vehicle completely and turn off the engine.
3. Make sure that the automatic transmission selector is set to the “Parking” position.
4. Turn the ignition key to the “On” position. (do not start the engine).
5. Press the gas pedal and hold it for 20 seconds.
6. Release the gas pedal.
7. Wait 10 seconds.
8. Repeat steps 4-7 twice (three times total).
9. Start the engine and let it idle for 10-15 minutes.
