Honda CR-V automatic transmission solenoid valve

The automatic transmission solenoid valve (solenoid) is an important component responsible for shifting gears in an automatic transmission. The Honda CR-V uses the following solenoid valves:

Torque Converter Lockup Valve (TCC)

* Locks the torque converter under certain conditions, increasing engine efficiency.
* Located on the automatic transmission housing.

Line pressure valve (LPCS)

* Adjusts transmission fluid pressure depending on load and driving conditions.
* Located inside the automatic transmission.

Gear shift valve

* Shifts gears by directing transmission fluid to the appropriate valve body channels.
* Located inside the automatic transmission.

Signs of faulty automatic transmission solenoid valves:

* Slipping or hard shifting
* Gear delay
* Automatic transmission related fault codes
*Transmission fluid leak

Replacing automatic transmission solenoid valves:

Replacing automatic transmission solenoid valves requires special tools and knowledge. It is generally recommended that you have a qualified mechanic perform this task.

Genuine Honda Part Numbers:

* Torque Converter Lockup Valve (TCC): 28500-PNA-A01
*Line pressure valve (LPCS): 28530-P7W-A01
* Shift Valve: Various part numbers depending on model and year.

Notes:

* Some Honda CR-V models are equipped with additional solenoid valves such as the master cylinder pressure valve (MPC) and torque converter cut-off valve (TCCU).
* Before replacing the solenoid valves, it is recommended to diagnose the automatic transmission to determine the exact cause of the malfunction.
* Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions when replacing or adjusting automatic transmission solenoid valves.
