Required tools and materials:

* Set of open-end and ring wrenches
* 12mm hex key
* Hammer
* Chisel or flathead screwdriver
* New drive shaft oil seal (right)
* Oil collection container
* Sealant

Work order:

1. Raise the car on a jack or lift and place it on supports.
2. Remove the wheel.
3. Disconnect the ball joint. To do this, knock the ball joint pin out of the lever.
4. Disconnect the tie rod end. To do this, unscrew the nut securing the tip and knock it out of the steering knuckle.
5. Unscrew the bolts securing the stabilizer bar to the car body.
6. Press the hub away from the steering knuckle. To do this, use a hammer and chisel or a flathead screwdriver.
7. Pull the drive shaft toward you to disconnect it from the transmission.
8. Remove the drive shaft from the hub.
9. Remove the old oil seal. To do this, put a special puller on the oil seal and pull it towards you. If you don’t have a puller, you can use a flat-head screwdriver and pry the oil seal off on one side, then on the other.
10. Clean the oil seal seat on the gearbox and drive shaft from dirt and old sealant.
11. Apply sealant to the oil seal seat on the gearbox.
12. Install a new oil seal. Place the oil seal onto the mandrel and press it into place using a hammer.
13. Lubricate the splined part of the drive shaft with CV joint lubricant.
14. Reinstall the drive shaft.
15. Place the hub onto the drive shaft.
16. Tighten the bolts securing the stabilizer bar to the vehicle body.
17. Install the tie rod end. To do this, insert the tip into the steering knuckle and tighten the nut.
18. Install the ball joint. To do this, insert the ball joint pin into the lever and tighten the nut.
19. Install the wheel.
20. Lower the vehicle from a jack or lift.

Check the oil level in the gearbox and add it if necessary.
