Materials:
* Automatic transmission filter Hyundai/Kia (article: 46321-3B500)
* Automatic transmission pan gasket (article: 21513-3B500)
* Automatic transmission oil (according to pan volume)
Tools:
* 17mm wrench
*Torx key T30
* Oil drain container
* Funnel
* Gloves
Replacement procedure:
1. Preparatory stage:
* Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes to warm up the automatic transmission oil.
* Turn off the engine and place the car on a level surface.
* Put the car on the handbrake and place wheel chocks under the rear wheels.
2. Draining the oil:
* Unscrew the automatic transmission pan drain plug with a 17 mm wrench and drain the oil into a container.
* Tighten the drain plug with a new gasket.
3. Removing the pallet:
* Unscrew the automatic transmission pan bolts using a Torx T30 wrench.
* Remove the pan and clean it of any remaining old oil.
4. Filter replacement:
* Remove the old filter from the pan.
* Install the new filter in its place.
5. Pallet installation:
* Install a gasket under the pan.
* Reinstall the pan and tighten the bolts with a T30 Torx wrench.
6. Filling oil:
* Using a funnel, pour new automatic transmission oil into the pan.
* The oil level should reach the upper mark on the dipstick.
7. Checking the oil level:
* Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
* Move the gear shift lever to all positions and hold each position for a few seconds.
* Check the oil level on the dipstick. The oil should be between the «Hot» and «Cold» marks. If the level is low, add oil.
8. Cleaning the dipstick:
* Clean the dipstick and check the oil level again.
9. Reset oil aging counter (optional):
*If the vehicle is equipped with an oil aging counter reset function, follow these steps:
* Press and hold the «Trip» button on the dashboard.
* Turn on the ignition.
* Continue holding the «Trip» button for approximately 5 seconds until the display shows «Oil Change OK».
10. Completion:
* Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes to make sure there are no leaks or abnormal noise in the automatic transmission.
