Skoda Rapid automatic transmission selector

The Skoda Rapid automatic transmission selector is located on the center console between the front seats. It provides vehicle transmission control.

Switching diagram:

P (Parking): Used to park and park the vehicle. The car is locked and cannot move.

R (Reverse): Used to move the vehicle in reverse direction.

N (Neutral): Allows the vehicle to remain stationary without a gear engaged.

D (Drive): final drive for normal driving. The car automatically shifts to higher gears as speed increases.

S (Sport): A sport mode that provides more aggressive shifting and faster acceleration.

M (Manual Mode): Allows the driver to manually change gears. To change gears up and down, use the selector or steering wheel paddles (if present).

+/- (Manual Shift): Buttons used to manually shift gears in M ​​mode. Pressing “+” shifts to a higher gear and “-” shifts to a lower gear.

Other features:

Selector lever lock: The selector lever is locked in position P by pressing the button on the top of the selector lever. This prevents unintentional gear shifting.

Kickdown mode: When you press the accelerator pedal hard, the car shifts to a lower gear for maximum acceleration.

Paddle shifters (if equipped): Located behind the steering wheel, the paddle shifters allow the driver to manually change gears without taking their hands off the wheel.
