Required tools and materials:

* Set of sockets for 6, 8, 10, 13, 16, 18 mm
* Ratchet
* Extensions
* 13 mm spanner
* Special drive boot remover (if available)
* New drive seal
* Transmission fluid
* Clean gloves

Replacement instructions:

1. Prepare the vehicle: Place the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.

2. Remove the wheel: Unscrew the wheel bolts and remove it from the vehicle.

3. Remove the mudguard: If your vehicle has a mudguard, remove it by unscrewing a few screws.

4. Disconnect the tie rod: Using a 13mm socket wrench, unscrew the tie rod ball joint nut and disconnect it from the wheel hub.

5. Raise the vehicle: Raise the front of the vehicle using a jack and place it on jack stands.

6. Remove the drive shaft:
* Unscrew the bolt securing the drive to the gearbox.
* Install the drive boot remover (if equipped) onto the drive shaft.
* Grab the outer CV joint and pull it out of the hub with a sharp movement.
* Remove the drive shaft from the gearbox.

7. Remove the old oil seal:
* Clean the area around the oil seal.
* Pry up the old oil seal with a flathead screwdriver and carefully pull it out.

8. Install a new oil seal:
* Lubricate the working surface of the new oil seal with transmission fluid.
* Carefully press the new oil seal into the transmission housing using a hammer and mandrel.

9. Install the drive shaft:
* Insert the drive shaft into the gearbox.
* Attach the drive shaft to the wheel hub.
* Tighten the bolt securing the drive to the gearbox.

10. Attach the tie rod: Attach the tie rod ball joint to the wheel hub and tighten the nut.

11. Install the mudguard: Reinstall the mudguard and tighten the screws.

12. Install the wheel: Reinstall the wheel and tighten the bolts.

13. Lower the vehicle: Lower the vehicle using a jack.

14. Check the transmission fluid level: Start the engine and wait until it warms up to operating temperature. Check the transmission fluid level using the dipstick. Add fluid if necessary.
