Self-diagnosis of Nissan Wingroad automatic transmission
Required equipment:
* Paperclip or wire
Procedure:
1. Stop the engine.
2. Switch the automatic transmission selector to all positions in order.
3. Connect pins A and B (diagnostic connector) using a paper clip or wire. The diagnostic connector is usually located under the instrument panel.
4. Insert the key into the ignition.
5. Turn the key to the “ON” position (do not start the engine).
6. Within 5 seconds after turning the key, briefly press the accelerator pedal twice.
7. To read fault codes:
* If the “OD OFF” warning light is flashing, codes will be issued in a series of two or more flashes.
* If the “OD OFF” warning light does not flash, leave the accelerator pedal in the released position. The number of long flashes (about 1 second) will indicate the first code. The number of short flashes (about 0.3 seconds) will indicate the second code.
8. To exit self-test mode:
* Turn off the ignition.
* Remove the paperclip or wire from the connector.
Fault codes:
*01: Vehicle speed sensor malfunction
*02: Throttle position sensor malfunction
*03: Air flow sensor fault
*04: Coolant temperature sensor fault
*05: Oxygen sensor fault
*06: Injector control circuit malfunction
*07: Ignition control circuit malfunction
*08: Exhaust gas recirculation circuit malfunction
* 09: Other faults (usually associated with mechanical problems with the automatic transmission)
Note:
*If fault code 09 is displayed, consult a professional mechanic for more details.
* Fault codes may vary for different models and years of production of Nissan Wingroad. Consult your vehicle’s owner’s manual for more accurate information.
