Self-diagnosis of automatic transmission Nissan Liberty

Required tools:

* OBD2 scanner

Steps:

1. Connect the OBD2 scanner to the vehicle’s diagnostic port. The port is usually located under the dashboard.
2. Turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine.
3. Select the “Automatic transmission” or “Automatic transmission” option on the scanner.
4. Follow the instructions on the scanner screen. Typically you will be prompted to do the following:
* Read Trouble Codes (DTC): The scanner will display a list of DTCs related to the automatic transmission.

Nissan Liberty automatic transmission fault codes are in P format. Here are some common codes:

* P0700: Transmission control system malfunction
* P0730: Wrong gear ratio
* P0740: Torque converter lock-up fault
* P0750: Transmission speed sensor malfunction
