Location of the automatic transmission selector sensor on Kia Cerato 2:

1. Open the hood and disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Unscrew the five bolts on the top of the air filter housing cover and remove the cover.
3. Loosen the air duct clamp between the air filter housing and the throttle valve.
4. Carefully disconnect the air duct and remove it.
5. Locate the automatic transmission selector sensor located on the right side of the transmission housing.

Removing the automatic transmission selector sensor:

1. Disconnect the electrical connector of the selector lever sensor.
2. Using a T25 Torx screwdriver, remove the three bolts securing the sensor to the transmission housing.
3. Carefully remove the sensor from the housing.

Installing a new automatic transmission selector sensor:

1. Place the new sensor into the transmission housing and tighten the mounting bolts.
2. Connect the electrical connector to the sensor.
3. Install the air duct and tighten the clamp.
4. Install the air filter housing cover and tighten the bolts.
5. Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
