Mitsubishi Outlander XL automatic transmission selector lamp
Location:
* The light is located on the gear shift panel.
Bulb type:
* T10 (incandescent)
Replacing the light bulb:
1. Switch the automatic transmission selector to position “P”.
2. Press the gear selector release button (located to the left of the gear lever).
3. Remove the gearshift panel by pulling it up at the bottom edge.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the light bulb.
5. Turn the lamp socket counterclockwise and pull it out.
6. Remove the old light bulb from the socket.
7. Insert the new light bulb into the socket.
8. Reinstall the lamp socket and turn it clockwise.
9. Connect the electrical connector to the light bulb.
10. Reinstall the gearshift panel: slide it onto the gear selector and lock it into place.
Note:
*Only use T10 bulb with W5W socket.
* Do not touch the glass part of the light bulb with your bare hands, as oil from your fingers may damage it.
*If you are unsure of your abilities, consult a certified mechanic.
