Tools and materials:

* LED strip (optional color and brightness)
* Scissors
* Soldering iron
* Solder
* Heat shrink tube
* Electrical tape
* Flat head screwdriver

Instructions:

1. Remove the automatic transmission selector.

*Use a flathead screwdriver to pry and remove the selector cover.
* Then remove the selector by pulling it up.
* Disconnect the selector lever electrical connector.

2. Disassemble the selector.

* Remove the rear selector cover.
* Remove the screws holding the internal components.
* Divide the selector into two parts.

3. Install the LED strip.

* Measure and cut the LED strip to fit the selector bezel.
* Strip the LED strip wires at the ends.
* Solder the wires to the power pins on the selector board.
* It is recommended to use heat shrink tubing to insulate solder joints.
* Glue the LED strip to the selector bezel using electrical tape.

4. Assemble the selector.

* Reinstall the internal components and tighten the screws.
* Install the rear selector cover.

5. Install the selector on the car.

* Connect the electrical connector.
* Insert the selector back into the hole and install the cover.

Adviсe:

*Use high quality LEDs to ensure bright and even light.
*Choose suitable color LEDs to match your car’s interior.
* Don’t overload your car’s electrical system by adding too many LEDs.
* Check LEDs regularly and replace burned out ones if necessary.
