Scheme of additional automatic transmission cooling

Materials:

* External oil cooler
* Oil line
*Fittings and adapters
*Transmission coolant

Tools:

* Keys or sockets
* Pipe wrench
* Funnel
* Rags

Installation procedure:

1. Preparing the automatic transmission:

* Determine the location of the drain plug and the automatic transmission filler hole.
* Drain the old transmission fluid from the automatic transmission.

2. Radiator installation:

* Select a location to mount the radiator, such as in front of the engine radiator.
* Install the radiator and secure it.

3. Installation of oil line:

* Lay the oil line from the automatic transmission to the radiator.
* Use fittings and adapters to connect the oil line to the automatic transmission and radiator.

4. Oil pipe connection:

* Connect one end of the oil line to the automatic transmission drain plug.
* Connect the other end of the oil line to the radiator inlet.

5. Connecting the oil return line:

* Lay the return oil line from the radiator outlet back to the automatic transmission.
* Connect one end of the oil return line to the radiator outlet.
* Connect the other end of the oil return line to the automatic transmission filler plug.

6. Filling with transmission fluid:

* Pour new transmission fluid into the automatic transmission through the filler hole.
* Check the fluid level using the dipstick.

7. Starting the engine:

* Start the engine and let it idle.
* Shift gears to circulate transmission fluid through the auxiliary radiator.

8. Leak check:

* Inspect all connections for leaks.
*Tighten any loose connections.

Note: The type of oil used in the automatic transmission should be checked in the vehicle’s owner’s manual.
