Scania automatic transmission faults:

1. Gear slippage

* Gears do not shift smoothly or slip when accelerating.
* May indicate worn clutch clutches, low transmission fluid levels, or faulty solenoids.

2. Shocks or jolts when shifting gears

* The transmission may experience excessive vibration or a jerking sensation when shifting gears.
* May indicate problems with the transmission control system, worn clutches or a malfunctioning torque converter.

3. Grinding or squealing

* The transmission may make a grinding or squealing sound when driving or shifting gears.
* May indicate worn gears, bearings, or low transmission fluid.

4. The transmission goes into neutral or emergency mode

* The transmission may unexpectedly shift into neutral or limp mode.
* May indicate a serious problem such as a faulty transmission control unit (TCU) or mechanical damage to the transmission.

5. Transmission fluid leakage

*Transmission fluid may leak from the transmission.
* May indicate damage to the gasket, seal or transmission housing.

6. Low transmission fluid level

*Transmission fluid level may be low.
* May cause overheating and damage to the transmission.

7. Electrical faults

* The transmission may suffer from electrical problems such as faulty sensors, solenoids or transmission control unit.
* May cause transmission malfunction and other problems.

Common causes of Scania automatic transmission faults:

* Wear of clutch clutches
*Low transmission fluid level
* Malfunction of solenoids
* Problems with the transmission control system
* Wear of gears or bearings
* Torque converter malfunction
* Electrical faults
