How to check the automatic transmission oil level in a Lexus RX350
You will need:
* Set of keys
* Automatic transmission dipstick
* Clean rag
Precautions:
* Make sure the car is parked on a level surface.
* Let the engine idle for a few minutes to warm up the transmission.
Procedure:
1. Find the automatic transmission oil dipstick. It is usually located on the front of the transmission near the engine block. It may have a yellow or red handle.
2. Remove the dipstick and wipe it with a clean cloth.
3. Insert the dipstick back into the transmission until it stops.
4. Remove the dipstick again and check the oil level. There should be two marks: «HOT» (hot) and «COLD» (cold). The oil level should be between these marks.
5. If the oil level is low, add the appropriate automatic transmission fluid through the filler neck. Make sure you are using the correct type of automatic transmission fluid.
6. After adding oil, check the level again.
