Rule for switching automatic transmissions

1. When engaging reverse gear:
– Stop the car.
– Move the selector lever to neutral position.
– Press the brake pedal fully.
– Move the selector to position “R” (reverse gear).

2. When engaging drive (D) and other gears:
– Stop or drive at a very low speed.
– Press the brake pedal fully.
– Move the selector to the desired gear.

3. When changing gears while driving:
– Do not press the gas pedal when changing gears.
– Wait until the car has completely shifted into a new gear before stepping on the gas.

Additional tips:

* Do not move the selector lever to the “P” (park) position while the vehicle is in motion.
* Do not move the selector lever to the “N” (neutral) position when driving on an incline.
* If the car is stuck, do not move the selector between gears “D” and “R”.
* If the gear selector does not shift smoothly, check the transmission fluid level.
* Perform regular transmission maintenance, including oil and filter changes.
