Right-hand drive oil seal, automatic transmission Ford Mondeo 4

Location:
The oil seal is located on the right side of the transmission, where the right drive shaft exits.
Function:
The seal prevents transmission fluid from leaking from the transmission through the drive shaft.
Signs of malfunction:
* Transmission fluid leak in the right drive area
*Reduced transmission fluid level
* Vibration or noise when driving
Replacement:
1. Raise the car and place it on stands.
2. Disconnect the ABS sensor connector on the right drive.
3. Unscrew the bolts securing the drive and move it to the side without disconnecting it from the hub.
4. Using a screwdriver or pry bar, carefully remove the old oil seal.
5. Clean the oil seal seat.
6. Lubricate the new oil seal with transmission fluid.
7. Install the new oil seal into place using a mandrel or a hammer with a rubber nozzle.
8. Install the drive and tighten the mounting bolts.
9. Connect the ABS sensor connector.
10. Lower the vehicle.
11. Check the transmission fluid level and add if necessary.
