Required tools:

* Scan tool compatible with Mercedes-Benz (such as Star Diagnosis or iCarsoft)
* Personal computer (PC) with Mercedes WIS/ASRA software

Procedure for resetting automatic transmission adaptations:

1. Connect the scan tool to the vehicle’s OBD-II diagnostic connector.
2. Turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine.
3. Select the Transmission Control Module (TCM) from the scan tool.
4. Find the “Reset Adaptations” function. It is usually located in the “Adaptations” or “Special Features” section.
5. Follow the instructions on the scan tool screen to initiate the reset process.
6. Once the reset is complete, remove the ignition key and wait at least 30 seconds.
7. Connect your PC to the Internet and open the Mercedes WIS/ASRA software.
8. Enter the vehicle VIN number and select the Transmission Control Unit (TCU).
9. Find the “Adaptations” section and select “Reset Adaptations”.
10. Follow the instructions on the PC screen to reset the TCU adaptations.
11. Remove the ignition key again and wait at least 30 seconds.

Additional notes:

* After resetting the adaptations, the gearbox will be in a learning state.
*During learning, the transmission may operate slightly differently until the new adaptation values ​​are set.
* It is recommended to drive the vehicle for some time in various driving modes to speed up the learning process.
*If problems occur after resetting adaptations, professional diagnosis and repair may be required.
