Resetting automatic transmission adaptation of Tiguan using VAS Diagnostician
Required equipment:
*Adapter VAS Diagnostic
* Laptop with VAS Diagnostic installed
Instructions:
1. Connect the VAS Diagnostic adapter to the OBD-II diagnostic port of the vehicle.
2. Launch VAS Diagnostic on your laptop.
3. Select “Manage” from the menu.
4. Open the “Basic Settings” section.
5. Find the group of parameters “Automatic transmission adaptation”.
6. Select this group and click the “Reset adaptation” button.
7. Follow the instructions on the screen to reset the automatic transmission adaptation.
8. Once the reset is complete, turn off the ignition and restart the engine.
Notes:
* Resetting adaptation may take several minutes.
* The engine must be switched off during adaptation reset.
* After resetting the adaptation, it may take some driving time in different conditions for the automatic transmission to re-adapt to the driving style.
* It is recommended to reset the automatic transmission adaptation after performing work to repair it or replace parts.
