Prerequisites:
* VAG-COM (VAG-COM) or VCDS (VAG-COM Diagnostic System)
* Cable for connecting to the OBD2 diagnostic port
Reset procedure:
1. Connect VAG-COM to the vehicle’s OBD2 diagnostic port.
2. Turn on the ignition (do not start the engine).
3. Open VAG-COM software.
4. Go to the section “Control module” -> “Automatic transmission” (02 – Auto Trans).
5. Select Adaptation Reset.
6. Confirm the reset by clicking “OK”.
7. The message “Adaptation reset” appears.
Note:
*After an adaptation reset, it may take some time for the automatic transmission to adapt to your driving style and provide optimal performance.
* It is recommended to reset the automatic transmission adaptation after servicing, such as changing the oil or filter.
* If any problems with the automatic transmission occur after resetting the adaptation, contact your mechanic.
