Materials:
* OBDII scanner
* SsangYong Actyon car with automatic transmission
Steps:
1. Connect the scanner to the vehicle’s diagnostic connector. It is usually located under the steering wheel.
2. Turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine.
3. Select the SsangYong Actyon model and engine type in the scanner.
4. Go to the “Transmission” or “Automatic Transmission” section.
5. Find the “Reset automatic transmission adaptation” function. The exact name may vary depending on the scanner.
6. Follow the instructions on the scanner screen. Typically they include:
* Setting the gear selector to position “P” (park).
* Pressing the brake pedal.
* Start of reset procedure.
7. Wait for the reset procedure to complete. This may take a few minutes.
8. Once the reset is complete, turn off the ignition.
9. Start the engine and check the operation of the automatic transmission.
Note:
* Resetting the adaptation may cause some strange behavior of the automatic transmission in the first few miles after the procedure. This is normal as the transmission adapts to your driving style.
* If the problem with the automatic transmission does not go away after resetting the adaptation, further diagnostics and repair may be required.
