Reset automatic transmission adaptation Mercedes 7G-Tronic Plus
Materials:
*Original Mercedes-Benz diagnostic scanner (eg Xentry) or licensed software (eg DAS)
* Cable for connecting to the car
Procedure:
1. Connect the diagnostic scanner to the vehicle’s diagnostic connector.
2. Turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine.
3. Launch diagnostic software.
4. Select the “Transmission” section.
5. Select the Transmission tab.
6. Select the “Reset adaptation” option.
7. Follow the onscreen instructions.
8. Once the reset process is complete, turn off the ignition.
9. Wait at least 10 minutes.
10. Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
Additional notes:
*During the reset procedure, do not change gears.
*After the reset, it is recommended to drive a few kilometers in different road conditions to allow the transmission to adapt to your driving style again.
*If you still experience transmission problems after resetting, please contact an authorized Mercedes-Benz service center.

* Attempting to reset the automatic transmission yourself without the proper tools and knowledge may result in damage to the transmission.
* It is recommended that you have a qualified mechanic perform this procedure.
